Form 12C

Form 12C was a document provided by the Income Tax Department for the purpose of income tax rebate related to mortgage loans. It served as a working paper for claiming income tax exemption under Section 192(2B). This form allowed employees to disclose their sources of income other than their salary to the employer, enabling the consideration of additional income when deducting taxes.

The primary purpose of Form 12C was to provide a mechanism for employees to declare their sources of income other than their salary. By filling out this form and submitting it to the employer, employees could ensure that their other income sources were taken into account when calculating tax deductions from their salary. Form 12C is no longer in use.
